28 Mar The Plight of a “Book Club Widower”
What would a small group of fathers and their children do if their respective wives and mothers vanished during a weekend getaway? This is the journey I explore in The Book Club Widowers: a Novel, which releases on Amazon Kindle in early April.
Phil Solomon can’t decide how to invest his time when he’s not working or taking care of his two young daughters, Audrey and Natalie. Should he watch movies, read books, or take the girls on vacation? As the months pass by without a clue as to the whereabouts of his wife Jackie, does the humanities college professor have permission to do more than just “survive?” And how should he handle his growing feelings toward a 20-something student, Amanda, who provides Phil with not just romantic but intellectual stimulation?
What would you do if you were in Phil’s shoes?
